Wyre and Preston North MP Ben Wallace has asked the Communities and Local Government Secretary, Sajid Javid, to look again at the decision of the planning Inspector who overturned Wyre Councils objection at the Appeal made by Wainhomes.
Mr Wallace commented, “I was very disappointed to learn that on the 21st of September, Wainhomes Ltd's outline application for a residential development of up to 165 dwellings with access from Lambs Road and Raikes Road, Thornton, was granted planning permission on appeal by the Planning Inspectorate. I have opposed this development at all stages and expressed my strong objections to the Planning Inspector before and during the appeal, I also made representations to the Planning Minster asking that the appeal be recovered, for his determination. Unfortunately, this request was declined.”
Although I am aware the inspectors decision can only normally be challenged by Judicial Review, due to the strong feelings of residents and their recent petition, I am keen to explore all options and with this in mind I have made further representations to the Communities and Local Government Secretary, Sajid Javid, asking that he review the appeal decision in light of the objections expressed by local residents.”
