I hope you have been enjoying the beautiful weather we’ve been having. I really enjoy coming home to Lancashire after a week in Westminster: London is unbearably hot and unpleasant!
As many of you will know I have been following the planning application for 165 dwellings on Lambs Road closely. Since submitting my objection to Wyre Council, I have continued to press the Highways Agency, to object to the application on the grounds of the cumulative effect of the development and further development planned by Wain Homes.
We await a date when the Planning Committee will consider the application!
Wyre Council has now launched a consultation on its Local Plan. I strongly advise residents across Wyre to contribute to the process. Local Plans give local authorities control to decide how and where to meet local need, be that sites for housing, employment or retail and the accompanying infrastructure. Once in place the Wyre Local Plan will become a shield from unwanted development. The consultation runs until 7 August. Further details on can be found here: http://wyre.gov.uk/info/200319/emerging_planning_policies/970/issues_and_options_2015
